A military “brat,” Jeanie grew up mostly in the Tacoma area, but has lived in the Philippines, Kansas, Oregon, and Mississippi. She attended Spanaway Lake High School and Western Oregon State College. She has a daughter, Kaitlyn.
Jeanie was a sign language interpreter for many years, mostly for the local school districts, but she free-lanced as well. She was honored to be included at all in the Deaf Community, and she misses working with the kids and adults she’s met, but her new dream/career has taken over.
She reads, a lot. Janet Evanovich, Dean Koontz, Tom Clancy, Karen Marie Moning…the list is endless. She’ll read almost any genre…the only one she stays away from is horror. (‘Cause she’s a wimp). She enjoys listening to music while she writes, or walks, or eats, or breathes… Celtic Thunder, Josh Groban, MercyMe, a little Macklemore, Lecrae, Ryan Kelly, Neil Byrne, Colm Keegan, Emmet Cahill, Emmett O’Hanlon, Brad Paisley…And the fun Irish language covers that the Gaeltacht school Coláiste Lurgan does.
